Long Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City: Converting vacant land into a small green park

On the morning of September 20, at a public land area of ​​about 400 square meters managed by the state in Group 6, Hai Son Hamlet, Long Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the Hai Son Hamlet Committee coordinated with the Commune Veterans Association to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for a small green park. This is the 11th small green park in Long Hai Commune.

Cadres, party members, people of Hai Son hamlet and veterans' association members of Long Hai commune together carry out the project of a small green park.

At the groundbreaking ceremony of the small green park, nearly 50 people including cadres, youth union members, residents of Hai Son hamlet and veterans of Long Hai commune came together. cleaning, leveling the ground, planting flowers, trees, etc. The total cost to carry out the project is more than 50 million VND contributed by cadres, party members, people in Hai Son hamlet and veteran members.

The small green park is a clever model of mass mobilization implemented by Long Hai commune since the end of 2022. Up to now, in Long Hai commune, 11 small green parks have been formed and put into use, each small green park has an area of ​​300 to ^1,000m2 .

This model not only creates a green - clean - beautiful environment, a space for recreation and entertainment for people, but also helps the locality to manage vacant public lands well, as well as contribute to limiting the situation of people littering and causing environmental pollution on public lands.
