Infrastructure reaches the fields

The road from Khanh Vinh town to Khanh Thanh commune used to be a hardship for local people, dusty in the dry season, muddy and rocky in the rainy season. Mr. Cao Thanh (Khanh Thanh commune) shared that this was the route to transport glue, cassava and many other agricultural products to the center for consumption. Over the years, the road has deteriorated, making trade difficult, and farmers are often forced to lower prices.

That was no longer the case in 2024 when Khanh Vinh district invested in 6 traffic infrastructure projects, including the Khanh Vinh - Khanh Thanh - Lien Sang route (from the town to Khanh Thanh Commune People's Committee), more than 6km long, with a total capital of 40 billion VND. The project was accelerated and has now been basically completed, with the concrete road reaching the fields, creating great convenience for thousands of households. Investing in this route not only connects villages and communes, but also opens up opportunities to exploit land funds, develop a combined agricultural and forestry economic model, promote eco-tourism, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction. In 2025, the district continued to propose the province to support investment in phase 2 (from underground 7 to Cau Ba commune), with a total proposed capital of 80 billion VND. Along with that, many inner-city routes have also been invested synchronously. The district has completed the Hoang Quoc Viet bridge project, expanding the town space to the east, connecting the administrative center with the new urban area east of Khe river, creating favorable traffic conditions and promoting socio-economic development.

In early 2025, a number of essential infrastructure projects were 100% completed, such as: Ta Mo 6 underground bridge (Khanh Thanh commune), Cai river bridge (Khanh Thuong commune), Suoi 1 bridge (Khanh Dong commune)... The project to replace 3 old bridges (Ngua waterfall, Giang river, Cho river) on Provincial Road 8B is also being urgently implemented, contributing to eliminating the separation of communes every time there is a flood.

Driving force for long-term development

Khanh Vinh is located on National Highway 27C connecting Nha Trang City - Dien Khanh - Khanh Vinh and up to Da Lat (Lam Dong), opening up a tourism space for the midlands and mountainous areas of the west of Khanh Hoa province. Along this route, many rural tourist destinations have been formed. Currently, the route connecting National Highway 27C with Provincial Road DT.656 - connecting Khanh Hoa with Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan is being invested in upgrading. In addition, the Van Phong - Nha Trang component project of the North - South expressway in the east phase 2021 - 2025 is under construction, contributing to strengthening inter-provincial and inter-regional connectivity. Regarding digital infrastructure, the district has basically completed the information technology system, with 100% of district officials and 98% of commune-level officials equipped with computers; the telecommunications network covers 100% of communes and towns, with 104 4G broadcasting stations.

According to Chairman of the District People's Committee Van Ngoc Huong, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the district will manage a total public investment capital of more than 1,200 billion VND, prioritizing traffic infrastructure, agriculture, schools and national target programs. Implementing Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo (dated January 28, 2022) on the development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, Khanh Vinh district aims to form 5 ecological sub-urban areas in the communes: Song Cau, Son Thai - Lien Sang, Khanh Thuong, Khanh Trung, Khanh Hiep. The goal is that by 2030, Khanh Vinh town will meet the standards of a type IV urban area. The orientation for the development of the district's socio-economic infrastructure system includes: Industry, services, tourism, education, health, culture - sports... suitable for the development stages. Song Cau Industrial Cluster has completed its infrastructure and officially put into operation. "With the attention of the Central Government, the province, the determination of the political system, and the consensus of the people, the district's infrastructure is increasingly improved, creating a solid foundation for Khanh Vinh to enter a new stage of development," Mr. Huong added.

According to the target of Resolution No. 09, Khanh Vinh district has currently achieved and exceeded 21/32 targets. Of which, the targets of the rate of communes with asphalted or concrete roads to the commune center; the rate of communes with hardened roads to the center; the rate of households using the national grid and other suitable power sources... reached 100%. Khanh Vinh district aims to complete the remaining 11 targets in 2025.
