After 7 exciting days with a series of 15 well-organized main activities, the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival has truly become a prominent cultural- tourism destination in the Ca Mau river region.
According to the summary report from the Organizing Committee, the series of events (including satellite activities such as "Hello Ca Mau" in Ho Chi Minh City) attracted about 120,000 domestic and international visitors to visit, shop and experience.

The festival atmosphere of the past few days has turned Ca Mau into a bustling cultural space, where visitors can fully experience the generosity and hospitality of the people of the far South. The highlight of the festival is not only to promote cuisine with famous crab dishes, but also to expand the space for trade connections and honor local cultural values.

In his closing speech at the festival, comrade Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee of the Ca Mau Crab Festival, affirmed that the event was a great success in all aspects, excellently completing the set goals.

He emphasized: “Through a series of activities, we not only enhance the Ca Mau Crab brand in the international market but also create a space for connection, long-term business cooperation agreements, and enhance sustainable value for this potential industry.”

The biggest attraction at the closing night was the announcement of the results of the "Ca Mau Crab Record Setting" contest - the most anticipated activity by the public.
Surpassing 9 other strong competitors, the title of “King of Crab” (First prize) in 2025 belonged to an individual crab of Du Thai Binh Limited Liability Company (Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province). This year’s champion possesses impressive indicators with a weight of up to 1,820.3 grams (more than 1.82 kg), and a shell width of up to 199.7 mm (nearly 20 cm).

The owner of the “King Crab” has received a reward worth 15 million VND, and at the same time, this crab is being profiled to request recognition from the Vietnam Record Organization.

According to the leaders of Ca Mau province, the success of the festival is an important driving force for the locality to strive to become a center of marine economy and a unique tourist destination of the whole country. The Ca Mau Crab brand is now not only the pride of the people of Dat Mui but also a cultural ambassador, carrying the image of a "kind, hospitable, prosperous" Ca Mau, spreading strongly on media platforms.

The event was also an opportunity to pay tribute to the silent heroes of the fisheries industry. At the ceremony, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 groups and 75 individuals with outstanding achievements. This is a worthy recognition for farmers, fishermen, artisans and businesses who are working day and night to preserve the forest-sea ecosystem and develop the crab industry in a sustainable way.

The Ca Mau Crab Festival 2025 has ended, but the echoes of the large-scale cultural event, along with the impressive image of the "Crab King" weighing more than 1.8kg, promise to add new energy for Ca Mau to continue to break through, building the brand "Ca Mau - where nature and peace converge" to reach further in the future.
