When cooperatives are supported

Thanks to technical support and loans, building a chain of links to supply input materials, consuming output products, connecting businesses, etc., many cooperatives are increasingly developing and operating effectively, contributing to the development of the collective economy and building new rural areas in the locality.

Cooperatives visit the production process of the enterprise

General Director of Duc Thanh Company Limited (Tay Ninh Province) - Le Thi Mai Huyen said: "Through the connection of the Long An Province Cooperative Union (old), the Company met with more than 100 agricultural cooperatives, creating conditions for cooperatives to participate in the production process of fertilizers, pesticides and rice processing factories. Thereby, the Company also signed a cooperation agreement on providing input materials and consuming output products, committed to providing fertilizers and pesticides at preferential prices and quality. This cooperation creates many development opportunities, increasing the value of agricultural products and creates conditions for cooperatives to develop sustainably”.

In 2024, Hoang Long Golden Apricot Cooperative (Tan Tay Commune) has 32 members, producing 40 hectares. The Cooperative was established with the aim of linking production, creating business and production relationships between members; proactively linking with companies and enterprises to provide services of the Cooperative, creating stable output for products, limiting price pressure; creating jobs, increasing income for members and local workers; acting as a bridge for transferring science and technology to improve productivity, quality and product reputation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - representative of Hoang Long Golden Apricot Cooperative, shared: "Most members of the Cooperative mainly buy fertilizers and pesticides at agricultural material dealers in the commune. Many reputable dealers sell quality fertilizers and pesticides at reasonable prices; on the contrary, some dealers who are only after profits selling fertilizers and pesticides at high prices or of poor quality. Therefore, the Cooperative visited directly the fertilizer and pesticide production process; at the same time, Duc Thanh Company signed a cooperation agreement, helping the Cooperative find sources of quality fertilizers and pesticides at preferential prices.”

For newly established cooperatives, timely loan support helps cooperatives operate effectively, develop production, and create trust for members. By the end of May 2025, the total outstanding debt of the Long An Province Cooperative Development Support Fund (old) was nearly 46 billion VND, lending to 48 cooperatives with 49 projects. Director of Huong Trang Agricultural Service Cooperative (Binh Hoa Commune) - Le Thien Tin said: "The initial capital of the cooperative was about 150 million VND, which did not meet the needs of providing agricultural services and materials for members. Thanks to accessing preferential capital from the Provincial Cooperative Development Support Fund, the cooperative was able to borrow 1 billion VND, with an interest rate of 5%/year. From this amount, the cooperative allocated 50% to invest in spraying aircraft to provide services for members, the remaining 50% was invested in buying fertilizers and pesticides to supply to farmers for production".

When cooperatives are supported, they will operate more effectively, and members will also be empowered to have more conditions to develop production. This will not only improve the lives of members but also contribute to the development of the collective economy, contributing to the journey of building new rural areas of the locality./.
