The match of round 7 between The Cong Viettel and Da Nang Club took place on October 20, marking the return of goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung in the Han River team's jersey, after 3 consecutive absences.

However, the joy of the "Thuong Chau hero"'s return quickly turned into great sadness. He could only stand firmly in the Da Nang Club's goal for 15 minutes, before having to leave the field on a stretcher with a painful expression. Before that, in a rush to block a quick counterattack by Viettel's The Cong players, Bui Tien Dung landed badly and had to lie on the field. After an MRI scan, the goalkeeper from Thanh Hoa was determined to have torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. This injury also means that the 2025 - 2026 season has ended early for Bui Tien Dung.

Currently, Da Nang FC has 2 goalkeepers, Phan Van Bieu and Dang Tuan Hung. According to the tournament regulations, teams have the right to add more goalkeepers at any time, if a goalkeeper cannot continue playing for the rest of the season. It is likely that the Hoa Xuan Stadium team will consider finding a new "goalkeeper" to fill the position. However, it cannot be denied that this is a big loss in personnel for Da Nang FC, when Bui Tien Dung is playing stably and is considered a pillar of the team since the second phase of last season. The 28-year-old goalkeeper has contributed significantly to helping the Han River team stay in the highest football league in Vietnam, when playing excellently at the end of the season and especially in the crucial play-off match with Truong Tuoi Dong Nai FC.

However, the biggest problem in the tactical scheme of Coach Le Duc Tuan at the moment lies in the ability to defend. Former HAGL center-back Kim Dong-su joined at the beginning of the season and performed quite well, but the Korean player alone was not enough to help Da Nang FC avoid conceding goals, when the surrounding satellites were not playing firmly.

From now until the FIFA Days in November, Da Nang FC is expected to continue to face challenges. The Han River team will face formidable opponents, namely Nam Dinh FC (Round 8), SLNA (Round 9), Ho Chi Minh City Police FC (Round 10) and Hai Phong FC (Round 11).
