About 1,500 children were screened for congenital heart disease.

BTO-On the morning of May 27, the program "Heart for Children" organized by the Tam Long Viet Fund (Vietnam Television and Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group) in collaboration with the team of doctors from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Thuan General Hospital organized free heart screening for children, for 2 days (May 27-28, 2023).

It is expected that about 1,500 children under 16 years old will be screened and have their hearts scanned. Through screening, children will be accurately diagnosed and receive timely surgery and treatment. All children found to have heart disease from families in difficult circumstances will be considered for approval and supported with surgery costs by the program. This screening program is also accompanied by Thuan Phong Mineral Joint Stock Company, which donated 1 billion VND to the program. This is the first time the "Heart for Children" program has come to Binh Thuan. Through this screening, children will be detected with congenital heart disease early so that they can receive timely treatment.

After 15 years of implementing humanitarian surgery for children under 16 years old in difficult circumstances, the program "Heart for Children" has supported surgery for more than 6,500 pediatric patients, organized 87 congenital heart disease screening programs for more than 150,000 children nationwide.
