Groundbreaking ceremony of the first social housing project in Long Thanh district

iDT Social Housing Apartment is built on 20% of the land fund of the Residential Area Project according to the planning in Long Thanh town (commercial name iD Junction). The project has an area of ​​about 31.6 thousand m², including 5 main blocks of more than 600 apartments, community activity block, utilities such as: swimming pool, children's playground, park, outdoor sports area and technical infrastructure system.

This is the first social housing project to be started this year under Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister on assigning social housing development targets to localities. In Notice No. 241/TB-UBND dated May 6, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, this is a social housing project included in the list of key projects of the construction industry in 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Tan Loc, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, emphasized that this is one of the key projects contributing to helping the province complete the social housing target assigned by the Government this year and the period up to 2030. Dong Nai always accompanies, creates favorable conditions, timely guides and removes difficulties and obstacles for businesses to implement the project in accordance with regulations, bringing a quality and stable living space to the people.

On the investor side, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, member of the Board of Directors of Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company, General Director of Tay Ho Group, affirmed that she is committed to investing properly, ensuring the quality of the project, safety during construction, speeding up the progress so that the project can be completed on schedule, and soon put into service of the community.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Xuan Dung requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches and local authorities to continue to pay attention to creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented smoothly and quickly. Review and supplement urban planning, industrial park planning, ensuring sufficient land for social housing development. In particular, pay attention to planning and arranging independent social housing projects in suitable, convenient locations with full technical and social infrastructure.

At the same time, allocate funds, clear land to create clean land for social housing, and implement procedures to select investors to complete the target of the investment project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments. Based on local conditions, issue support and incentive mechanisms to implement social housing investment projects within the locality in accordance with relevant authority and legal regulations, and simplify administrative procedures for social housing investment.

Along with that, the province directs and inspects the investment in the construction of social housing to ensure quality, with full technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and essential services as for commercial housing projects.

The investor prioritizes resources, finance, and applies new technology, while directing design units, construction contractors, and supervision consultants to comply with regulations on investment and construction procedures, enhance responsibility, implement construction works to ensure quality, speed up progress, and complete on schedule.

After the commencement of construction, it is necessary to promptly provide and publicly announce all information related to the project so that people can register to buy, rent, or lease-purchase, ensuring compliance with regulations on real estate business conditions; fully, honestly, and accurately publicize information about real estate and real estate projects put into business.
