Attending the ceremony were comrades: Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Huu Hoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the report at the ceremony, the Investment Project to build an inter-sectoral office building for functional forces at the dedicated freight transport road at landmark 1088/2-1089 was built with an area of 10,000m2; total investment of more than 123 billion VND. The project to expand the specialized freight transport route in the area of landmarks 1119 - 1120 of Huu Nghi International Border Gate has an investment of 94.6 billion VND. This is a key infrastructure component, playing a fundamental role in implementing the pilot project to build a smart border gate.
These are two projects invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and are scheduled to be completed in 2026. When completed, the projects will contribute to improving the capacity of receiving, transporting, and clearing goods. Thereby, contributing to creating favorable conditions for businesses, organizations, and individuals to contact and carry out import and export activities via dedicated routes.
Besides, these are also projects to celebrate events such as: 18th Provincial Party Congress; 1st Provincial People's Committee Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the importance of the above two projects in contributing to building Huu Nghi International Border Gate into a "Model Border Gate".
In order for the projects to be implemented on schedule, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, contractors, and supervision consultants to mobilize maximum human resources and equipment, organize scientific construction, and strictly comply with regulations on quality, progress, safety, and environment.
In addition, regarding the progress of other projects under the Pilot Project on building smart border gates, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board to actively coordinate with relevant units to complete documents and procedures, striving to start the Project on Expanding the Specialized Road for Transporting Goods in the area of landmarks 1088/2 - 1089 before July 15, 2025; relevant units need to focus on completing the entire infrastructure using public investment capital, attracting investment in building wharves and equipment, ensuring completion before the second quarter of 2026.
