Construction of 60 Great Solidarity houses for poor households started

In celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024) and the Peak Month "For the Poor" in 2024, on November 13, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a Great Unity house for poor and near-poor households under Project 384. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.

It is known that in this period, the whole Ninh Thuan province built 60 Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households; of which, Ninh Phuoc district was supported to build 26 houses; Thuan Nam district 13 houses; Ninh Son district 10 houses; Ninh Hai district 7 houses and Thuan Bac district 4 Great Solidarity houses. The minimum cost to build each house is 100 million VND; of which, the provincial "For the Poor" Fund supports 50 million VND, the provincial budget 20 million VND, the district "For the Poor" Fund 20 million VND, the remaining amount is mobilized from families, clans and communities. The minimum house area is 32m2, the house structure ensures the "3 hard" standard (hard floor, hard frame - hard wall and hard roof) and has a reasonable toilet.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province, emphasized that although there are still many difficulties in mobilizing resources to implement Project 384, with the spirit of trying and making efforts, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province has built nearly 350 Great Solidarity houses and continues to strive to have more Great Solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households to celebrate the Lunar New Year by the end of this year.

Accordingly, Mr. Le Van Binh requested that all levels, sectors and localities should promote a sense of responsibility, monitor and urge the construction process, ensure smoothness, progress, regulations, criteria and quality; continue to mobilize resources, funds and efforts to soon complete houses for people. After receiving support, households try hard in work and production to escape poverty and have a prosperous and happy life.
