Accordingly, this year's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Action Month will be held from May 1-31, aiming to improve prevention and enhance the responsibility of employers in self-inspection, assessment, and control of OSH risks, and reduce occupational accidents (OAs) and occupational diseases (ODs).

Strengthen communication activities

Mr. Phan Dai Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, said: In order to effectively implement the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has issued an implementation plan with the aim of creating a climax of communication activities to raise awareness of compliance with the law on occupational safety and health for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers. At the same time, promote specific solutions and action programs to improve working conditions, review and develop safe working procedures and measures, assess occupational safety and health risks; care for and improve workers' health, prevent occupational accidents and diseases at production facilities.

"The Provincial People's Committee requests that the activities of the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month be organized in a practical, effective and focused manner; encourage agencies, organizations and production and business establishments to choose prominent issues in the industry and field as the theme in the Occupational Safety and Health Action Program to bring high efficiency", Mr. Thang emphasized and said: The Department of Home Affairs is coordinating to organize information and communication activities on Occupational Safety and Health, such as: seminars, publishing communication publications; hanging banners and slogans; propaganda on many channels and media from direct to mass media such as newspapers, radio - television, websites, social networks, radio stations of districts, communes, wards, towns, enterprises... At the same time, update and promptly inform about the causes of occupational accidents and incidents to prevent occupational accidents and diseases; widely inform and propagate about rights, obligations and responsibilities in occupational safety and health work to enterprises and workers.

In 2025, to minimize occupational accidents and diseases, ensure occupational safety and health, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, units... to guide and inspect organizations and enterprises to review, develop regulations, procedures, and safety measures in workshops, factories, and equipment; promote the implementation of specific action programs to improve working conditions, build harmonious labor relations, reduce stress and fatigue in the workplace, and implement welfare regimes for workers.

To ensure occupational safety and health, in recent times, units and enterprises have paid special attention to improving working conditions and preventing occupational accidents and diseases. Mr. Le Van Ho, Deputy Director of Hao Hung Phu Yen Company Limited (Dong Bac Song Cau Industrial Park) said: Since its establishment, the company has not had any serious occupational accidents. This result is thanks to the proactive implementation of plans to ensure the safety of workers. In 2025, along with strengthening propaganda work, the company will coordinate with units to organize consultation, training, and coaching on occupational safety and health associated with the characteristics and specific production of the company's industries and occupations, focusing on practical training, skills to assess occupational safety and health risks. At the same time, equip workers with knowledge to protect themselves during work.

Ensuring worker safety

According to the assessment of functional sectors, in 2024, working conditions in companies and production facilities will be significantly improved. The emulation movement to ensure occupational safety and health will develop strongly in trade unions at all levels. Along with that, information and propaganda activities on occupational safety and health will be promoted and spread, with many diverse and rich forms... contributing to raising awareness and consciousness of workers as well as employers.

Mr. Phan Dai Thang shared: In the past year, despite many difficulties, the Labor sector has proactively done a good job of advising and coordinating with departments, branches, unions, and press agencies to diversify information and propaganda activities about the Labor Safety and Health Action Month; regularly consulting and disseminating and educating about the Labor Safety and Health Law for enterprises and production and business establishments to strictly implement the procedures and measures to ensure labor safety and health in order to prevent labor accidents during the Labor Safety and Health Action Month. The sector has also promptly deployed instructions for localities and enterprises in the province to implement the Labor Safety and Health Law and documents guiding the implementation of this law. Enterprises and production and business establishments in the province have had positive changes. Employers have paid a certain attention to labor safety and health and taken care of the health of employees. Working conditions and the environment in places where workers do heavy and toxic work have improved significantly. Enterprises and employers have also increased self-inspection, screening, detection of safety risks and developed prevention plans right in workshops, production teams and groups; regularly urged and reminded workers to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on occupational safety and health. All levels and sectors promptly organized visits and encouraged individuals and families of people who had occupational accidents in production. This shows the attention of the government and enterprises in occupational safety and health work.

In 2025, especially during the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, to minimize occupational accidents and diseases, and ensure occupational safety and health, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, units, etc. to guide and inspect organizations and enterprises to review, develop regulations, procedures, and safety measures in workshops, factories, and machinery and equipment; promote the implementation of specific action programs to improve working conditions, build harmonious labor relations, reduce stress and fatigue at work, and implement welfare regimes for employees. At the same time, organize dialogues on occupational safety and health with employers and employees to promote the implementation and remove obstacles in the implementation of policies and laws on occupational safety and health. Organize inter-sectoral inspection and guidance teams at a number of enterprises where occupational accidents occur, working in confined spaces, electricity, construction, use of chemicals, use of machinery, equipment, and materials with strict requirements on occupational safety and health; Guide businesses to strengthen self-inspection activities, review occupational safety and health regulations and procedures at factories, workshops, production teams and groups. Organize visits and give gifts to victims and families of victims of occupational accidents and diseases to promptly share the loss and encourage families to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives and work.
