Foreign investors return to net buying, VN-Index increases to more than 1,766 points

On October 16, green dominated the stock market. Thanks to good liquidity and strong net buying by foreign investors, the VN-Index closed up 8.9 points (+0.51%) to 1,766.85 points.

Market liquidity reversed and decreased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,313 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND43,146 billion.

This session, foreign investors reversed to net buy on all 3 floors more than 415 billion VND, focusing on codes NLG (298.79 billion VND), DXG (244.99 billion VND), GEX (199.64 billion VND), VIX (128.77 billion VND), VIC (87.29 billion VND)...

In the opposite direction, the codes that were net sold a lot in this session includedSHB (164.57 billion VND), SSI (113.54 billion VND), HPG (103.91 billion VND), VCI (101.84 billion VND), CII (89.25 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 31,345 billion VND.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 277.08 points, up 0.96 points (+0.35%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 105.89 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 2,615.9 billion. In the whole market, 78 stocks increased in price, 65 stocks remained unchanged and 70 stocks decreased in price.

The HNX30 index closed up 5.72 points (+0.87%) to 612.3 points. Trading volume reached over 73.78 million units, equivalent to over VND2,137.24 billion. In the whole market, there were 13 stocks increasing in price, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 112.37 points, up 0.05 points (+0.04%). * At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 8.9 points (+0.51%) to 1,766.85 points. Liquidity reached over 1,181.49 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND40,420.64 billion. The entire floor had 180 stocks increasing, 57 stocks remaining unchanged and 129 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 12.63 points (+0.63%) and stopped at 2,022.27 points. Liquidity reached more than 491.53 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of more than VND 22,011.49 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 13 stocks increasing, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.
