[Video] Vietnam welcomes US assessment on anti-human trafficking

At a regular press conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Vietnam welcomes objective and positive assessments of the results of preventing and combating human trafficking in the US State Department's 2025 Report related to Vietnam.

Vietnam is synchronously implementing the Program on preventing and combating human trafficking for the period 2021-2025 and orientation to 2030, focusing on perfecting the law, improving the effectiveness of investigation, prosecution, and trial, enhancing identification and support for victims, and promptly responding to new challenges.

The promulgation of the Law on Prevention and Combating Human Trafficking in 2024 has created an important legal framework for this work. Vietnam is also implementing the Plan for Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, aiming to build a transparent migration environment, protect the legitimate rights and interests of migrants, and prevent the risk of human trafficking in international migration activities.
