Join hands to clean the beach in Con Dao

On the morning of October 18, at the Cultural House of Residential Area No. 10 (Con Dao Special Zone, Ho Chi Minh City), the Party Cells of the Party agencies of the Special Zone coordinated with armed forces, units, organizations, volunteers... to organize the launching ceremony of "Green Saturday".

The program had the participation of more than 100 people, including officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Squadron 33, Con Dao Border Guard Station, K3 Petroleum Depot of Military Region 7, Working Group of Brigade 681, Ben Dam Port Management Board, Public Works Management Board, and organizations and people of Residential Area No. 10.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Anh Nhut, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Con Dao Special Zone, said that this is an activity with many practical meanings, demonstrating the close ties between agencies, units and the people; at the same time, it is a concrete action to respond to the movement to build self-managed roads on environmental sanitation, ensuring urban beauty and order in the special zone.

Comrade Nguyen Anh Nhut requested each individual and each unit participating in the program to uphold the highest spirit of self-awareness and responsibility. The ultimate goal is not only to collect waste, but to restore the inherent beauty of the beach and the road, and more importantly, to convey a strong message about environmental protection.

At the program, the Organizing Committee also presented 20 social security gifts to fishing households and boat owners in difficult circumstances.

After the launching ceremony, the forces were divided into 5 groups in charge of cleaning the entire route and beach from the Cultural House of Residential Area No. 10 to the check-in point “Rebirth Zone”. The groups were assigned specific tasks, closely coordinated, and ensured absolute safety throughout the process.
