Foreign investors return to net buying, VN-Index only increases by more than 2 points

On July 23, the market maintained green throughout the morning session. However, in the afternoon, selling pressure increased in bluechip stocks, in which Vingroup stocks widened their decline, causing the general index to shake. At the end of the session, VN-Index increased by 2.77 points to 1,512.31 points.

In this session, stocks that had a positive impact on the VN-Index included: VPB, VJC, HDB, VNM with an increase of 4.2 points. On the contrary, stocks: VHM, VIC, TCB, LPB were sold heavily and took away 6.2 points from the general index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value of this session skyrocketed compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND36,185.39 billion.

Foreign investors returned to net buying of approximately VND249 billion on the HoSE. On the buying side, FRT shares were bought the most with a value of over VND334 billion, followed by VPB (VND219 billion), HDB (VND112 billion), VNM (VND106 billion)... On the contrary, VIX was sold the most (VND237 billion), followed by SHB (VND114 billion), VHM (VND101 billion), DIG (VND82 billion)...

Today's session, the VN30 stock group closed with 17 stocks increasing and 13 stocks decreasing.

Of which, VJC increased the most when it hit the ceiling price of VND108,800/share, followed by HDB increasing by 4.13% to VND26,500/share, VPB increasing by 3.78%, VNM increasing by 2.49%, VIB increasing by 2.3%, GVR increasing by 1.97%, SAB increasing by 1.67%, GAS increasing by 1.62%, BCM increasing by 1.47%.

Codes: ACB , CTG, MBB, MWG, PLX, SHB, SSI, TPB increased slightly.

On the other hand, VHM fell the most, losing 3.46% to VND92,200/share, followed by VRE down 2.5%, VIC down 2.13%, LPB down 1.81%, STB down 1.62%.

The remaining codes: BID, BVH, FPT, HPG, MSN, SSB, TCB, VCB decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks, except for HPG, which decreased slightly, HMC and SMC, which stopped at the reference price, all improved. Specifically, HSG increased by 4.71% to VND18,900/share, NKG increased by 2.77%, VCA increased by 1.97%, DTL and TLH increased slightly.

The group of securities stocks traded positively, ending the session up 1.4%. Besides SSI mentioned above, CTS and VDS hit the ceiling to VND36,800/share and VND16,850/share respectively, VIX increased by 4.84% to VND21,650/share, VND increased by 2.36%, AGR increased by 1.83%, TVB increased by 1.62%, TVS increased by 1.29%, APG increased by 1.23%, BSI, DSC, FTS, HCM, ORS, TCI increased slightly. On the downside, DSE decreased by 1.15%, VCI decreased slightly.

Banking stocks closed up 0.32%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB decreased slightly, MSB increased 1.49%, NAB increased 1.69%, OCB increased slightly.

Real estate stocks were under pressure from Vingroup stocks, down 1.59%. In addition to the codes: VIC, VHM, VRE, BCM mentioned above, LDG hit the floor, DRH fell 4.08%, HPX fell 3.11%, ITC fell 3.16%... On the other hand, SJS hit the ceiling to 140,000 VND/share, HDC increased 4.21%, SZL increased 2.16%, TN1 increased 2.46%,...

Other stock sectors such as: Transportation increased by 2.55%, telecommunications services increased by 1.5%, essential aviation trade increased by 1.04%, insurance, raw materials, utilities, industrial goods, food, beverages and tobacco, and energy increased slightly.

On the other hand, consumer services, software and services decreased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index maintained green almost throughout the session today, VNXALL-Index closed up 9.84 points (+0.39%), to 2,522.07 points. Liquidity in the whole market, with trading volume reaching more than 1.558 billion units, equivalent to trading value of VND 39,250.46 billion. In the whole market, there were 231 stocks increasing in price, 96 stocks remaining unchanged and 142 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 249.33 points, up 1.48 points (+0.6%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 153.87 million units transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 2,962,763 billion. The entire floor had 90 stocks increasing, 69 stocks remaining unchanged and 74 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed up 4.88 points (+0.93%) to 528.68 points. Trading volume reached about 107.28 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND2,460.430 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 17 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 10 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 104.80 points, up 0.78 points (+0.75%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 75.38 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than VND 965,522 billion. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 171 stocks increasing, 97 stocks remaining unchanged and 101 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 2.77 points (+0.18%) at 1,512.31 points. Liquidity reached over 1.496 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND37,900.35 billion. The entire floor had 203 stocks increasing, 56 stocks remaining unchanged and 120 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 index decreased by 2.97 points (-0.18%) to 653.01 points. Liquidity reached more than 525.40 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 15,758.11 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 17 stocks increasing, 0 stocks remaining unchanged and 13 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were SHB (over 80.13 million units), VPB (over 73.95 million units), VIX (over 64.59 million units), VND (over 45.14 million units), SSI (over 43.84 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were CDC (7.00%), PC1 (6.99%), VDS (6.98%), VJC (6.98%), CTS (6.98%).

The five stocks with the biggest price declines were DRC (-21.41%), LDG (-6.87%), SFC (-5.26%), STG (-5.08%), and HVX (-4.27%).

* Today's derivatives market had 280,610 contracts traded, worth VND46,401.15 billion.
