( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of November 8, in Hanoi, Emulation Block No. 1 of the Ministry of National Defense held a conference to summarize emulation and reward work and the Emulation Movement for Victory in 2024. Attending the conference were Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense, Head of Emulation Block No. 1; Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders and commanders of units in Emulation Block No. 1 of the Ministry of National Defense.

In 2024, thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the Central Military Commission, military and defense commands, functions and tasks of agencies and units, closely following the emulation theme of "Solidarity, exemplary, disciplined, proactive, creative, determined to win" and "The year of basically completing the adjustment of the force organization towards being lean, compact, and strong", the emulation and reward work and the Determined to Win Emulation movement of Emulation Bloc No. 1 are always closely and comprehensively led and directed, focusing on successfully implementing political tasks and "Three breakthroughs". Units in the bloc link the Determined to Win Emulation movement with the implementation of Directive No. 05 of the Politburo, Directive No. 87 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", resolutely fighting against individualism in the new situation; Addressing weak links and weak aspects has made many progressive changes, contributing to the successful completion of military and defense goals and tasks, building strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" agencies and units, and completing a number of tasks excellently.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan affirmed that Emulation Bloc No. 1 was established and put into operation not long ago, but has gradually become organized and achieved good results. Agencies and units in the Bloc exchange, learn from experiences, propagate, replicate good models, creative ways of doing things, at the same time strengthen solidarity, cohesion, promote emulation, reward work and the Emulation movement to win to develop more firmly, achieving higher achievements.
Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan awarded Certificates of Merit to units with achievements in ensuring and serving the activities of Emulation Block No. 1.
Regarding the direction for 2025, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan requested Emulation Bloc No. 1 to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Directive of the Politburo and the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, promote the Emulation movement to win, discover, foster and replicate advanced models throughout the agency; combine the organization of the Emulation movement to win with the implementation of the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period to go into depth, achieving practical results; actively innovate emulation and reward work, creating strong and solid changes in quality in all aspects. In addition, focus on successfully organizing party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term; excellently completing the strategic advisory function; command the Army, militia and self-defense forces and manage the State in military , national defense and cryptography, contributing to building a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" agency and unit, a united and united emulation bloc.
Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan and Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh signed the handover of duties and powers of Block Chief and Deputy Block Chief in 2025.
Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan also requested that member units of the Bloc regularly review, research, exchange, promptly detect difficulties, obstacles, arising issues and advise, propose adjustments and supplements so that the activities of Emulation Bloc No. 1 are always maintained in accordance with regulations, practical and effective.
