Prosecution of 7 "speed demons" in Hanoi

(Dan Tri) - 7 young men were accused of driving motorbikes at high speed, carrying weapons, and wandering the streets, causing disorder.


On November 13, Hanoi City Police said that Soc Son District Police had prosecuted 7 subjects for the crime of Disturbing public order.

According to authorities, on the night of October 19, Vu Tuan Anh (18 years old) invited Nguyen Van Trung (17 years old) to go to West Lake (Tay Ho district) to play. Trung drove his motorbike to Tuan Anh's house (in Phu Lo, Soc Son) and met Nguyen Van Chien (18 years old) and Nguyen Thanh Chung (19 years old).

The group then moved to the West Lake area.

At around 2:00 a.m. on October 20, 4 people invited each other to continue hanging out in Pho Yen ( Thai Nguyen ), bringing Trung's homemade throwing knife.

They moved at high speed, holding weapons, along Highway 3 to Pho Yen City Square, causing disorder.

Continuing on the evening of October 21, Nguyen Anh Tuan (19 years old) invited Trung to play billiards. On the way, Trung met Chien again. After that, the subjects went to the billiards club in Tien Duoc and met Tran Quoc Viet and Nguyen Chi Thanh (both 17 years old).

At around 9:00 p.m. the same day, the group carried knives and drove motorbikes at high speed on roads in Soc Son district.

Upon receiving the report, Soc Son District Police investigated, summoned the subjects to work and prosecuted all 7 subjects for handling according to regulations.
