Prosecution of 9 defendants in the case at Vietnam Rubber Industry Group

The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) has initiated a criminal case of "Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste" occurring at the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and related units; prosecuted the accused, issued an arrest warrant for the accused for temporary detention, a ban on leaving the place of residence, and a search warrant for 09 related accused to investigate and clarify.

On May 23, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) issued Decision No. 33/QD-CSKT-P5 to prosecute the criminal case of "Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste" occurring at the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, Dong Nai Rubber Company, Ba Ria Rubber Company and related units regarding violations at the land project 39-39B Ben Van Don, Ward 12, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, issue Decisions to prosecute the accused, Arrest warrants for temporary detention, Residential ban orders, and Search warrants for 9 accused for the same crime: Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste, as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 219 of the 2015 Penal Code, including:

Le Quang Thung, former General Director, former Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group; Huynh Trung Truc, former Deputy General Director of the Group; Pham Van Thanh, former Head of the Planning and Investment Department of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group;

Nguyen Thi Gai, former General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Company; Nguyen Cong Tai, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ba Ria Rubber Company; Nguyen Trong Canh, former Deputy General Director of Ba Ria Rubber Company;

Le Y Linh, former Director of Viet Tin General Trading Company Limited; Dang Phuoc Dua, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Tin Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company; Nguyen Thanh Chau, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Nai Rubber Company;

On the same day, after the Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 5) approved the above Decisions and Orders, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency organized the implementation in accordance with legal regulations.

Currently, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is consolidating documents and evidence for the violations of the prosecuted defendants, at the same time, continuing to expand the investigation of the case, clarifying other violations of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, related units, organizations and individuals, and applying measures according to the law to thoroughly recover assets for the State.
