On the afternoon of March 8, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency had prosecuted, arrested, and searched 9 suspects, which occurred at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company, Thang Long Investment, Trade and Real Estate Joint Stock Company, and related units.
Accordingly, expanding the investigation of the case of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" committed by Nguyen Van Hau and his accomplices at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Phuc Son Group), Thang Long Investment, Trade and Real Estate Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Thang Long Real Estate Company) and related units according to Decision on initiating criminal proceedings No. 16 dated February 26, 2024; based on the statements of Nguyen Van Hau, the defendants, related subjects, investigation documents verified in 3 provinces: Vinh Phuc, Quang Ngai , Vinh Long and related units; In order to implement relevant regulations of the Party and State, on March 7, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security decided to: Prosecute additional cases on the crimes of "Receiving bribes", "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences", "Taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers for personal gain" occurring in Vinh Phuc province, Quang Ngai province, Vinh Long province and related units; prosecute, arrest and search 9 defendants, including: Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province and Mr. Le Duy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee, delegate of the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province, for the crime of "Receiving bribes", stipulated in Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code.

Mr. Cao Khoa, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province; Mr. Dang Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee, delegate of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province, former Director of the Department of Transport of Quang Ngai province, were all charged with the crime of "Receiving bribes", stipulated in Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code.
Mr. Ha Hoang Viet Phuong, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, former Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Quang Ngai province; Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, former Head of the Technical and Quality Department of the Department of Transport of Quang Ngai province; Mr. Le Quoc Dat, Director of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic Works, former Head of the Investment Management Department of the Department of Transport of Quang Ngai province and Mr. Pham Ngoc Cuong, Deputy General Director of Phuc Son Group, were all charged with the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences", stipulated in Clause 3, Article 222 of the Penal Code.
Mr. Dang Trung Hoanh, Chief of Office of Mang Thit District Party Committee, Vinh Long Province, for the crime of "Taking advantage of influence over people in positions of power and authority for personal gain", stipulated in Clause 3, Article 366 of the Penal Code.
On March 8, after the Supreme People's Procuracy approved the above decisions and orders, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency organized the implementation in accordance with legal regulations.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security is consolidating documents and evidence for the violations of the prosecuted defendants, at the same time, continuing to expand the investigation of the case, clarifying other violations of Phuc Son Group in localities and related units, applying measures according to the provisions of law to thoroughly recover assets for the State.
The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency calls on subjects involved in this case to promptly surrender, denounce the crime and remedy the consequences to enjoy the leniency of the law.
