On the morning of April 15, the leader of the People's Committee of Truong Xuan Commune, Dak Song District ( Dak Nong ) said that the Commune Police had worked with the family and Mr. YR (28 years old). Through verification, it was found that Mr. R. was not kidnapped, drugged, or had his property extorted.
“After investigation, the police confirmed that there was no kidnapping, drugging, beating, or extortion. The police are continuing to investigate to take appropriate measures to deter the perpetrators,” the leader said.

According to the article, about a month ago, Mr. YR met a stranger and lost contact with his family. After that, Mr. R. was locked in a closed room, beaten and had his property extorted. In addition to the 60 million VND in his personal account, Mr. R.'s family had to send him an additional 50 million VND so that he could be released and return home.
Under the article, many people expressed their concerns and requested that authorities promptly investigate to ensure people's safety.
Immediately afterwards, the People's Committee of Truong Xuan Commune assigned the Commune Police to verify and clarify the information. Through working with relevant individuals, the authorities said that there was no kidnapping or property appropriation incident.
