Warmth from the ground
In the Song Khoai Industrial Park (Hiep Hoa Ward), Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd., a Swedish FDI enterprise, has made a significant mark in caring for its employees during the Lunar New Year. Despite only officially starting production in October 2025 with approximately 200 workers, the company has already established a stable wage and benefits policy, creating a foundation for employees to work with peace of mind and long-term commitment.
Currently, the average salary for employees at Autoliv Vietnam is 8-9 million VND per person per month. Ms. Darawwan Plaindee, Director of Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: "In preparation for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, we have proactively developed a comprehensive, transparent, and open plan for bonuses and holiday care. The company pays a 13th month salary and evaluates employee performance to provide appropriate Tet bonuses; we also organize practical activities to care for all employees."
Working alongside the company, the Trade Union of Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd. clearly demonstrates its role as a representative and bridge between employees and employers. “Starting in December 2025, the Trade Union Executive Committee proactively developed plans and participated in negotiations regarding Tet bonuses and year-end benefits. The Trade Union proposed a 13th-month salary bonus, an incentive gift of 2 million VND per person in kind; and an additional 500,000 VND per person to motivate union members, support workers from other provinces, and visit those in need,” shared Mr. Nguyen Van Duy, Chairman of the Trade Union of Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Thanks to the collaboration between the company and the trade union, each employee of Autoliv Vietnam received a Tet (Lunar New Year) gift worth 2.5 million VND, converted into practical items for family life. For workers facing difficult circumstances, this gesture holds special significance. Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, a worker at Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared: "My husband is seriously ill, and the treatment costs are high. Our family is currently renting a house. The timely encouragement and support from the company and the trade union have given me the strength to overcome difficulties and remain committed to my work."

Similar to Autoliv Vietnam Co., Ltd., Thang Long Cement Joint Stock Company also implemented many activities to care for its employees during Tet (Lunar New Year) with flexible and meaningful approaches. At the end of the year, the company organized a year-end party and a Tet decoration contest with the theme "Tet knocks on the door - TLCC lights the fire," combined with a competition for wrapping banh chung (traditional rice cakes) and arranging traditional Tet feasts. Hands accustomed to industrial production skillfully wrapped cakes, arranged feasts, and decorated the space for the spring festival, spreading a warm Tet atmosphere and fostering team spirit.
Alongside activities focused on employee well-being, Thang Long Cement Joint Stock Company also maintains a Tet (Lunar New Year) bonus system for its employees. Each employee is expected to receive a bonus of 1 million VND, along with their 13th month salary. Mr. Muhammad Yonanda, Acting General Director of Thang Long Cement Joint Stock Company, affirmed: "A business can only achieve sustainable development when its employees are happy, committed, and united. Despite many challenges, the company's leadership is still striving to implement appropriate policies, including Tet bonuses, to recognize and express gratitude to employees who have been with us throughout the past year."

No one is left behind.
This year, efforts to care for workers during Tet (Lunar New Year) in Quang Ninh province have been implemented comprehensively and widely, with many creative and flexible approaches. Trade unions at all levels in the province have proactively coordinated with the government and businesses to review and understand the living conditions, employment, and income of union members and workers. Based on this, they have developed appropriate care plans for each target group, ensuring that the support reaches the right people and meets their specific needs.
Many practical programs continue to be implemented, such as the "Tet Reunion" program. The 2026 provincial-level "Tet Reunion" program, held at the Dong Mai Industrial Park (Dong Mai Ward) and the Hai Ha Port Industrial Park (Quang Ha Commune), became a highlight in the series of activities caring for workers during Tet. The program's atmosphere was vibrant and warm, featuring cultural performances, lucky draws, and the distribution of Tet gifts to union members and workers. Many valuable gifts, such as motorbikes, refrigerators, and essential household appliances, were given directly to workers, creating joy and excitement before the New Year.

Ms. Chìu Tài Múi, a Dao ethnic woman from Đường Hoa commune, originally worked in agriculture. Three years ago, due to the industrialization of her hometown, she started working at Hoa Lợi Đạt Garment Co., Ltd. (Hải Hà Port Industrial Zone) with a salary of 9 million VND per month. At this year's "Tet Reunion" program, Ms. Múi was extremely happy not only because she received gifts but also because she was lucky enough to win a refrigerator in a raffle. Ms. Múi excitedly said: "My family didn't have a refrigerator, so winning this one in the raffle made me truly overjoyed." The gift not only has material value, but also serves as a great source of encouragement. I Let's try harder in the new year. I clearly feel the concern that the union and the company have for the workers.

According to the Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Union, To Xuan Thao, with the main theme of "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and the motto "All union members and workers have a happy Tet," Quang Ninh's labor unions at all levels have focused on organizing many activities to care for union members and workers during Tet. Specific activities such as giving bus tickets to workers to return home for Tet; organizing "Year-End Union Dinners" with activities like visiting, giving gifts, and lucky draws... have affirmed the role of the labor union in caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers.
In addition, trade unions at all levels coordinated the implementation of the online "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, providing thousands of essential products at preferential prices to 5,100 union members; implemented the "Union Member Welfare" program, bringing quality goods from the province to workers; and gave Tet gifts and bus tickets to union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, or experiencing work accidents. During the Lunar New Year, the Provincial Confederation of Labor visited, supported, and presented 3,478 gifts to disadvantaged workers, with a total budget of over 3.8 billion VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Confederation of Labor, and through social mobilization...
