On May 27, the People's Committee of Gio Linh district (Quang Tri) announced that the unit had concluded the handling of the case of students fighting in the restroom of Gio Linh town middle school and then filming the video and posting it on social networks.

According to the conclusion, after discovering the incident, Gio Linh Town Police coordinated with the Criminal - Economic - Drug Investigation Team of Gio Linh District Police to verify and collect documents to clarify the violations of the female students.

After the family of female student HTN (the beaten student, studying in class 8E of Gio Linh town secondary school) submitted a request for an injury assessment, the authorities decided to request an assessment. The results determined that HTN's injury percentage was 0%. Gio Linh district police invited relevant parties to resolve the case.

The families of the female students involved in beating HTN admitted their mistakes and offered to pay 20 million VND in compensation. The family of HTN accepted the apology, agreed to receive the money and the parties agreed to resolve the case through civil proceedings.

For NTTN and T.D.QC (both in class 10B at Gio Linh town secondary school), the authorities did not issue a decision to impose administrative sanctions because at the time of the violation, the two students were under 14 years old. The police invited the families and students to directly remind them, write a commitment not to re-offend, and assigned the families to coordinate with the school, agencies, departments, andeducational organizations.

For the group of female students who witnessed the incident but did not report it, the police educated, reminded and asked them to promise not to repeat the offense.

At the same time, the school also assigned teachers to teach extra classes and support HTN to catch up with his classmates and complete the semester tests as prescribed.

On the afternoon of April 24, after making up 2 Physics lessons, female student HTN (class 8E, Gio Linh town middle school) went out to play and went to a coffee shop behind the school to wait for the 4th and 5th lessons.
