In the early morning of June 1, PSG rose to the occasion and created the Champions League final with the biggest margin in history. Just a month ago, Inter Milan were dreaming of winning a historic treble. But they ended the season without any trophies in hand.

The Italians beat Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate in the semi-finals, but that joy quickly faded when they failed to overcome Napoli in the final round of Serie A. An unfortunate draw against Lazio meant Inter watched their rivals win the domestic league.

After a crushing defeat to PSG in Munich in the early hours of June 1, Inter officially ended the season without any trophies. Disappointment filled the hearts of players and fans, as dreams of championship titles were dashed with each defeat.

Inter also faces a dire prospect as they are about to part ways with coach Simone Inzaghi, who was offered a salary of up to 30 million euros/season by Al Hilal.
