During the three days of February 20-22 (ie January 11-13 of the Lunar New Year 2024), the 3rd Traditional Wrestling Competition of the Mac Dynasty was held at the Temple of the Mac Dynasty King, in Ngu Doan Commune (Kien Thuy District, Hai Phong City) according to the Law on Wrestling. Before the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee simulated the scene "Keo Vat Thien Menh" performed by artists, recalling the historical moment when the capital's drums and the court loudspeaker announced the name of wrestler Mac Dang Dung who won, becoming the Martial Champion. After that, 2 old masters with skillful techniques, who participated in many competitions and had achievements, participated in "Keo Vat Tho" to simulate and introduce the rules of national wrestling. |

After the ceremony, 76 professional and semi-professional athletes from 11 provinces and cities across the country such as Ninh Binh, Bac Giang , Ha Nam, Lam Dong, Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Thua Thien - Hue, Vinh Phuc... competed in 10 weight categories (8 men's weight categories, 2 women's weight categories) and the "Powerlifter" competition. |

Notably, in the "Wrestler" competition for the strongest wrestlers (regardless of weight class), the reigning Wrestler of 2023 Hoang Van Nam (from Hai Phong) continued to challenge wrestlers from all over the provinces, attracting thousands of cheering people and tourists. After 3 days of intense competition, the delegation of Thua Thien Hue province won the first prize (4 gold medals), the delegations of Ninh Binh province and Co Trai village (Kien Thuy district) won the second and third prizes respectively.
