According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, there is currently a situation where some subjects take advantage of and fraudulently use durian growing area codes and packaging codes through forms of authorization contracts to use codes with fake seals and signatures... to commit fraud in order to profit and clear customs for export to the Chinese market.
This serious violation not only affects the reputation of the industry Vietnamese durian, not only loses the trust of Chinese and international consumers but also causes great damage to genuine durian producers and traders. At the same time, the authorities of importing countries can also tighten control over Vietnamese durian, affecting the export activities of enterprises.
Therefore, the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association recommends that authorities strengthen inspection, supervision, and close review of packaging facilities. durian export, strictly handle violations that have been reported or not; Complete the database of growing area codes, packing list number making it easy to manage and trace the origin of products; Publicizing the list of durian production and packaging facilities that meet standards to help consumers choose reliable products, and at the same time publicizing businesses that have violated the law by illegally copying codes to export durian and the handling methods of State agencies; Strengthening cooperation with functional agencies of importing countries to jointly combat commercial fraud.
According to the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, in 2024, Vietnam's durian exports will reach about 3.2 billion USD, accounting for nearly half of the country's fruit and vegetable export turnover.
