Check and supervise policy credit activities in Dong Xuan commune

Dong Xuan commune was established on the basis of merging La Hai town and Xuan Son Nam, Xuan Son Bac, Xuan Quang 2 and Xuan Long communes with a total natural area of 206.26 km2 and a population of about 26,907 people. The whole commune has 20 villages, of which Ky Du village is an ethnic minority village.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, member of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank, head of the inspection and supervision delegation, spoke at the inspection and supervision session.

By August 31, 2025, the total outstanding policy credit balance in Dong Xuan commune reached more than 179.5 billion VND, an increase of 5.07% compared to the beginning of the year, with 2,499 households still borrowing. The whole commune maintains 84 savings and loan groups, of which 90.5% are classified as good. Policy credit capital has helped hundreds of poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households to invest in production, improve their lives, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.

Dong Xuan Social Policy Bank Transaction Office currently manages policy credit activities in 4 communes: Dong Xuan, Xuan Lanh, Xuan Phuoc and Phu Mo. As of August 31, 2025, the total outstanding debt reached VND 588.3 billion, an increase of 8.31% compared to the beginning of the year; overdue debt accounted for 0.08% of the total outstanding debt.

In the first 8 months of 2025, this unit has disbursed nearly 145 billion VND to more than 2,500 poor, near-poor, newly escaped-poverty households and other policy beneficiaries. The preferential capital has created new jobs for more than 500 workers, supported 5 households to build houses under the social housing loan program, helped 126 ethnic minority households to eliminate temporary houses and more than 2,200 clean water and environmental sanitation works were newly built and repaired...

Through direct inspections at a number of borrowers, savings and loan groups, and working with leaders of the Commune People's Committee, entrusted associations and leaders of the Dong Xuan Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, the inspection and supervision team acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Dong Xuan Social Policy Bank Transaction Office in deploying policy credit capital, ensuring capital flow to the right beneficiaries and promptly serving the needs of the people, avoiding congestion and interruption of capital flow after the merger of administrative units. The lending and capital management work of bank staff, entrusted associations and savings and loan group leaders were carried out seriously, and credit quality remained stable.

The delegation also appreciated the local authorities' attention in arranging transaction points, creating favorable conditions for facilities and ensuring security and safety during transactions.

The inspection and supervision team requested the Dong Xuan Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to continue to closely coordinate with local authorities and authorized organizations to review the loan needs of local people, balance and arrange reasonable capital sources, and promptly disburse to support households in production and business, contributing to stabilizing life, developing the economy , reducing poverty sustainably and improving credit quality in the coming time.
