According to information from the Embassy of Japan on May 22, 2025, Vietnamese architect Vo Trong Nghia was awarded the 2025 Fukuoka Asian Cultural Prize - Cultural Arts category for his innovative proposals on ecological architectural models.

Vo Trong Nghia is one of the prominent architects of Vietnam and Southeast Asia, known for his designs that harmonize man and nature.

His architectural works always focus on environmental factors, local vegetation and utilize bamboo and wood - traditional Vietnamese materials to create sustainable and unique living spaces.

The Fukuoka Cultural Prize is an annual award to honor individuals with outstanding achievements in the fields of academic research, arts and culture in Asia.

The Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize 2025 award ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 16, 2025 in Fukuoka city (Japan)./.
