After more than 3 years of implementing the Family Conduct Criteria in Thai Nguyen province, the contents of the Criteria have become an important part of preserving family traditions. Many localities have effectively integrated the Criteria into emulation movements and community activities, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility, love, sharing between generations and spreading good cultural values in society.
Residential areas have proactively incorporated the content of the Criteria into village covenants and conventions. Many contents of the Criteria have been concretized through models of building cultural families; cultural residential areas; preventing and combating domestic violence. Up to now, the whole province has had about 2,500 family clubs, 1,900 trusted addresses in the community, 1,200 groups preventing and combating domestic violence, and nearly 800 hotline numbers to promptly provide consultation and support.
In order for the set of criteria to spread widely among the people, in the past 3 years, thousands of cadres and collaborators working in family affairs have participated in training courses, improving knowledge, consulting skills, and propaganda on preventing and combating violence, building happy families... organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
With concise and easy-to-understand content, the Criteria set has conveyed a practical message: "Respect - Equality - Love - Sharing", becoming a "Guide" for every family. From there, positive rules of conduct are formed: Husband and wife are loyal and affectionate; parents and grandparents are exemplary and love their children and grandchildren; children and grandchildren are filial and polite; siblings are united and yielding. These simple things are the foundation for a happy family, contributing to the stability and prosperity of the whole society.
The implementation process shows that the content of the Criteria Set has a clear positive impact on each family. In most residential areas, the family atmosphere is warm and harmonious, and domestic violence is limited. Family members and relatives know how to be patient, listen, share and adjust their behavior in a cultural direction. Instead of imposing and blaming, people learn to dialogue and resolve differences in life views with respect and sympathy.
In residential areas, members of the Front Committee and typical cultural households are always the pioneers in implementing the Criteria. Thanks to that, the results are obvious, the residential community is increasingly close-knit and affectionate. Adults who behave kindly and exemplary are living examples for children to look up to and follow. From there, a generation of people who live humanely and are responsible for themselves, their families and society is built.
The highlight of the implementation of the Criteria Set is that it has contributed to raising awareness of gender equality and the role of women in building a home. Through training courses on parenting skills and conflict resolution skills in the family, many women have become bolder in communication, confidently expressing their opinions, sharing with their husbands the burden of housework, and at the same time being the "keepers" of happiness. From there, trust and a sense of peace in each home are nurtured, contributing to spreading happiness throughout society.

When kindness, cultured lifestyle, and responsible lifestyle originate from each family, a compassionate community and a harmonious and sustainable society will be formed. Therefore, the set of criteria has been and continues to be widely deployed among the people, always receiving consensus, support and active participation. Most families have considered it a "compassion" in daily behavior, creating a "soft shield" against the intrusion of a pragmatic, utilitarian and insensitive lifestyle.
A family or clan with order and hierarchy: exemplary grandparents, kind parents, well-behaved children, equal siblings, solidarity, and love for each other will create a solid “fortress” that is “immune” to social evils. And when each family truly becomes a place to nurture love and cultural behavior, society will become more peaceful, civilized, and sustainably developed.
