Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese National Assembly in a practical, effective and lawful manner

On the morning of January 25, at the National Assembly House, the Organizing Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) held its first session.

Member of the Politburo, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the members of the Organizing Committee and the National Assembly Office for their prompt, active and proactive work in implementing the work in the past time.

At the same time, the Organizing Committee is requested to emphasize that the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly need to demonstrate the significance and great historical significance of the event, select appropriate content and organize the celebration activities well, ensuring solemnity, practicality, effectiveness and compliance with regulations.

Expressing agreement with the draft plan to implement the Project, to soon submit it to the Organizing Committee for signing and promulgation, as a basis for implementing the work to ensure efficiency and progress, Mr. Tran Thanh Man suggested to soon study and advise the Organizing Committee to establish a Working Group to assist the Standing Office of the Organizing Committee.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man also agreed with the proposal to establish subcommittees to assist in organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Propose that the Office of the National Assembly, agencies of the National Assembly, relevant agencies and units proactively develop projects, plans, detailed scenarios, assign tasks, specific implementation progress and estimate costs for assigned tasks from the State budget.

Mr. Tran Thanh Man noted that during the implementation process, it is necessary to closely coordinate with agencies, ministries, and sectors at the central and local levels to ensure effective implementation of the work, on schedule. If there are any problems, difficulties, or obstacles, please report to the Organizing Committee, the Steering Committee, or the National Assembly Chairman for timely resolution .
