On the morning of June 27, candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program took an optional exam including 2 subjects from the subjects studied in grade 12; candidates studying the 2006 General Education Program took the Natural Science or Social Science exam.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training , nationwide, there are 1,155,577 candidates registered to take the exam for elective subjects/Natural Science or Social Science exams in the 2025 high school graduation exam. However, the number of candidates attending this exam was 1,147,269, reaching 99.28%. Thus, 8,308 candidates dropped out of this exam, including 4,459 candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that in the 2025 high school graduation exam on the morning of June 27, 5 candidates nationwide violated exam regulations and were suspended.
Thus, up to this point, 20 candidates have been suspended from the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program have completed the 2025 high school graduation exam.
This afternoon (June 27), candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will continue to take the final exam - Foreign Language.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27.
Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will participate in 4 exam sessions: 1 Literature session, 1 Math session, 1 optional exam session (Natural Science or Social Science), and 1 Foreign Language exam session.
Candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program will take the high school graduation exam with 4 subjects: 2 compulsory subjects (Literature, Mathematics) and 2 elective subjects from grade 12 subjects (Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology). Candidates will take the exam in 3 sessions: 1 Literature session, 1 Math session, 1 session for 2 elective subjects. Literature is an essay test of 120 minutes (Reading comprehension 4 points, Writing 6 points); Math is a multiple-choice test of 90 minutes; the remaining subjects are multiple-choice for 50 minutes.
