CNN reported that authorities are responding to a shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets shopping center in Allen, Texas on May 6 (local time). Allen Premium Outlets has more than 120 brand stores.

At least one gunman died at the scene and authorities are investigating the possibility of a second gunman based on witness descriptions, although it has not been confirmed.
Allen police posted a statement saying they were investigating the incident and urged people to avoid the area. Police found a vehicle believed to belong to the deceased suspect and the bomb squad is examining it.
Several people were injured, including children, according to local station WFAA TV, citing police. Authorities have not released specific numbers of people injured or their conditions in the shooting in Allen, about 25 miles northeast of Dallas.
"He was walking down the sidewalk and shooting everywhere," a witness told WFAA TV.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called it an unspeakable tragedy and expressed his condolences to the people of Allen, a city of about 100,000.
Reuters cited the latest announcement from authorities saying that 9 people were killed and 7 others were injured in the shooting. The suspect, believed to be a lone gunman, was shot dead by police at the scene, according to Allen police chief Brian Harvey.
Mass shootings are on the rise in the United States this year. There have been at least 198 so far this year, the most since 2016, according to the Gun Violence Archive, a tracking organization. The organization defines a shooting as one in which four or more people are injured or killed, not including the shooter.
On April 28, suspect Francisco Oropesa (38 years old), a Mexican, also opened fire on his neighbor's house in Cleveland, Texas, killing 5 people after being complained about the noise. The suspect was arrested on May 2 in the town of Cut and Shoot, about 27 km west of Cleveland.
