BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of June 19, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and to commend collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

Over the past 10 years, the implementation of Directive No. 05 in the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee has achieved positive and comprehensive results. Party committees, authorities, and organizations from the provincial to grassroots levels have seriously studied, grasped, deployed, and propagated it into full-term and annual topics; concretized and issued documents directing synchronous, proactive, and creative implementation. The content of studying and following Uncle Ho is practical, specific, and linked to reality.

The awareness of all levels, sectors, cadres, party members, union members, association members and people about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has changed significantly. Studying and following Uncle Ho has become a daily, voluntary activity. The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has regularly led and directed the implementation of Directive No. 05 in a serious, drastic and synchronous manner with many good, creative and effective ways, creating a widespread impact in society.

Over the past 10 years, Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units have focused on resolving more than 17,000 key issues, urgent and outstanding issues or issues with limitations and weaknesses, including many outstanding and long-standing issues that have been resolved completely. Every year, each cadre and Party member registers 1-3 specific tasks to carry out 3 contents: Studying Uncle Ho, following Uncle Ho and setting an example following Uncle Ho; committing to practice and maintain qualities, ethics, lifestyle, not degenerating, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" associated with the implementation of political tasks of localities, agencies and units.

Through movements and campaigns, thousands of collectives and individuals have been commended by all levels and sectors. These results have made important contributions to the work of Party building, building a clean and strong political system; comprehensively developing all socio-economic fields, improving people's lives, maintaining national defense and security, affirming and enhancing the image and position of Bac Giang province.

At the conference, representatives of agencies, units and localities discussed the organization and implementation of Directive No. 05 at the grassroots level. Outstanding results, lessons learned as well as good and creative practices in implementing the Directive, especially the construction and replication of advanced models and typical examples at all levels, sectors and localities.

At the summary conference, 24 collectives and 51 individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.

In his speech directing and concluding the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary commended, acknowledged and congratulated the achievements of all levels, sectors, collectives and individuals in studying and following Uncle Ho over the past 10 years. However, in addition to the achieved results, he pointed out that the implementation of Directive No. 05 still has many limitations that need to be focused on overcoming.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In the coming time, there will be many challenges and difficulties that require each Party committee, Party organization, each cadre, Party member, and people of all walks of life to constantly make efforts, be more determined, and take more drastic actions to successfully carry out the assigned tasks.

In particular, Party committees, Party organizations, authorities and unions need to promote a substantial transformation from "studying" to "following" Uncle Ho. Focus on thoroughly grasping and concentrating on doing well 3 issues: Studying and following Uncle Ho; promoting the exemplary spirit of cadres and Party members; infusing his thoughts, ethics and style deeply into life, becoming the standard of living and action of cadres, Party members and the People. Thereby, enhancing patriotism and the aspiration to contribute to the development of the homeland and the country.

Raise awareness of revolutionary ethics through strengthening the study and protection of Ho Chi Minh's thought.
