On the afternoon of July 30, Huan was driving a red 4-seater car on Vinh Khang Street, Thanh Tri District. At the intersection near Ngoc Hoi Pagoda, Huan hit a woman's motorbike, causing it to fly onto the sidewalk. The victim was seriously injured.

Huan continued to accelerate and run away. Many people on the roadside shouted and chased after him. The car ran more than 100 meters before stopping because two tires exploded.

Huan opened the door, ran into a house across the street, took a knife and stabbed himself. Then, he drove into his car, closed the door, and set fire to some clothes.

Many people broke the glass door and used fire extinguishers to put out the fire. Unable to bear the smoke, the driver opened the door to escape and was restrained by the police.

At the scene, the victim's motorbike was deformed, and the car had a broken front end and was damaged in many places.

The police are investigating the matter.
