At the meeting, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Information and Communications Department Vo Thanh Binh reported on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and since the merger.
According to the report, in the context of implementing the policy of unification and merger of provinces, the Provincial Party Committee's Information and Service Board (3 old provinces) has focused highly, promoted initiative and creativity, promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee to comprehensively direct all aspects of work, contributing to stabilizing the situation, creating high consensus among cadres, party members and people.
After the merger, the organizational structure of the Provincial Party Committee's Office of Information and Communications was initially consolidated. The Board focused on directing and organizing the comprehensive implementation of all professional aspects in a synchronous and interconnected manner, closely following the political orientation and key tasks of the Provincial Party Committee during the merger and construction of a two-level government. The Provincial Party Committee's Office of Information and Communications implemented the implementation to ensure administrative operations, internal management; logistics work, and service for the staff after the merger to take up new tasks.
Some initial tasks to promote the effectiveness of integration after the merger include: synthesizing, reporting, and directing unified TG - DV activities at the local level. Operating under the 2-level local government model will promote the role of TG - DV work at the grassroots level, helping to "get close to the people, be close to the people, for the people", enhance dialogue, grasp and promptly resolve the thoughts and aspirations of the people.
However, after the merger, Lam Dong has a large area, complex terrain, and many ethnic and religious groups. This is a big challenge for propaganda work, orienting public opinion, grasping the ideological situation and mobilizing the people.
Some newly reorganized communes and wards have not been able to arrange experienced staff to do TG - DV work, affecting the quality of work at the grassroots level.
The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Office of Administrative Services and specialized departments recommended that the province direct functional agencies to deploy the construction of public housing and issue specific support policies on transportation, accommodation, and initial living expenses so that cadres and civil servants transferred from other provinces can soon stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.
The Provincial Party Committee approved the policy of transferring the budget for activities that have been allocated in 2025 but have not been implemented into the budget for the last 6 months of the year. The Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy of developing a Plan to organize the Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in Lam Dong province (with new regulations), replacing the Plan for the Press Award on Party Building of the provinces before the merger. Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy requested the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee to quickly stabilize the organization, issue full regulations and rules, and clearly assign tasks. The Committee reviewed the directive documents of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the units to advise on their issuance and unified implementation within the Party Committee.
