
The Cham Kate Festival in 2025 will be held at Po Sah Inư Tower.
Kate Festival takes place on October 20-21 at Po Sah Inư Tower, Phu Thuy Ward ( Lam Dong ). Kate is the most unique folk festival of the Cham people following Brahmanism with the meaning of remembering the gods and praying for favorable weather, favorable crops; praying for harmony between couples, the growth of people and all things. Kate Festival usually starts from temples, towers and ends with fun activities, celebrating Tet at home.

Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee delivered the opening speech.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The Kate Festival at the Po Sah Inư Tower relic was restored in 2005 and held annually, meeting the spiritual and emotional needs of the Cham people, becoming the soul of spiritual and cultural activities, containing many values of folk beliefs and religions.
"This is also an opportunity for Cham people from all over the country to return to reunite with family, friends and relatives," said Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Dinh Van Tuan.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province presented gifts to congratulate the Kate Festival to Cham dignitaries.
Right after the opening ceremony, the Kate Festival entered its most important ritual, the procession of the Goddess Po Sah Inư's costume. Under the direction of religious dignitaries, the procession of the Goddess' costume took place solemnly but no less special.
Besides the majestic and ancient beauty of Po Sah Inư tower, Cham boys and girls rhythmically dance traditional dances to the bustling sound of Paranung drums and the melodious sound of Saranai trumpets. The procession of people carrying the Goddess's costume stretches from the ceremony yard to the main tower. Next are the rituals of the ceremony such as: Opening the main tower door, bathing the Linga - Yoni altar, dressing up, the grand Kate worship ceremony at the main tower... The festival takes place bustlingly with folk games, demonstrations of traditional crafts of the Cham people such as: Decorating Thon-la, making gingerbread...

With its important cultural and historical significance, the Kate Festival of the Cham people in Lam Dong province is one of the typical festivals of the locality, included in the list of festivals that need to be preserved and promoted to serve tourism development. On April 4, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 776/QD-BVHTTDL, recognizing the Kate Festival of the Cham people in Lam Dong province as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
