Lam Dong reduces water usage fees for businesses

(LĐ online) - The People's Committee of Lam Dong province has just approved a plan to reduce water usage fees for businesses in the area to support businesses to proactively adapt, recover quickly and develop sustainably according to Resolution No. 58/NQ-CP dated April 21, 2023 of the Government.

Accordingly, the State aims to support through water supply units the reduction of water usage fees for enterprises in the province to help enterprises proactively adapt, recover, stabilize and develop sustainable production and business activities, and improve competitiveness.

Eligible entities are enterprises established under the provisions of the Enterprise Law that are operating stably in Lam Dong province. Reduction level and implementation period: 20% reduction in pre-tax water usage fee for 6 months, from December 2023 to the end of May 2024.

Implementation method: The State supports the reduction of pre-tax water usage fees for enterprises through water suppliers. Water suppliers implement the reduction of water usage fees for enterprises based on actual invoices; are responsible for preparing a final report on the amount of funds for implementing the reduction of water usage fees for enterprises, sending it to the Department of Finance for synthesis, reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with the Provincial Tax Department to guide water supply units in Lam Dong province, relevant agencies and units to organize the implementation of this decision; handle or propose to the Provincial People's Committee to handle difficulties and problems in the implementation process. Synthesize the funding needs to reduce water usage fees for enterprises in the 2024 state budget expenditure estimate; report and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval in accordance with the provisions of the Budget Law and guiding documents for implementation.
