That day, the sky was cloudy with a gentle breeze—perfect for a hot air balloon flight. We were live-streaming to promote the 2022 International Hot Air Balloon Festival, the first of its kind to be held in Tuyen Quang . My colleague Ninh Hoang Lam and I rushed to prepare the equipment as quickly as possible for this special live stream.
To ensure sufficient capacity and quality during the live broadcast, we decided to use the phone of our Editor-in-Chief, Mai Duc Thong... But when we arrived at the scene, the hot air balloon only had enough room for one pilot, one Deputy Director of the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism, and one reporter – that's me.

As the hot air balloon was inflated and slowly lifted off the ground, my heart raced. A mix of excitement and anticipation filled me. This was my first time experiencing the feeling of flying through the air, and also my first time livestreaming from such a unique location.
From an altitude of over 800 meters, strong winds caused the hot air balloon to sway, making it more difficult than ever to maintain image and sound quality. During filming, I had to constantly adjust the microphone and camera to ensure viewers could hear and see clearly. Despite the difficulties, the atmosphere around me made me forget all my worries. The feeling of soaring through the air, gazing at the scenery stretching out below, was an unparalleled experience.
In the vast open space, I had the opportunity to chat with viewers via livestream, sharing my feelings and interesting experiences surrounding the flight. The number of live viewers skyrocketed at a rate I had never seen before. Questions from viewers like "How was the flight?" or "Were you scared?" made me feel closer to them. I answered with all sincerity: "It was an amazing feeling, and also very exciting!" That was the moment I truly understood that my job is not just about reporting news, but also about conveying emotions and creating vivid experiences for the audience.

After about 30 minutes of flying, we landed safely. Applause and cheers erupted from the crew and fellow travelers. All the difficulties and challenges vanished, leaving only joy and satisfaction at having completed a fairly successful livestream.
The hot air balloon flight was not only a unique professional experience, but also a lesson in courage and creativity in journalism. It's proof that sometimes, the boundaries we think are insurmountable are precisely the opportunities to soar higher and further. As a journalist, I will continue my journey of exploring, documenting, and sharing amazing stories from the world around me.
