Up to now, Lam Dong is the 16th province that Petr has passed through on his journey across Vietnam. Sharing about the past month, Petr was moved: “I have always been fascinated and captivated by the diverse beauty of Vietnam's landscape. I have admired the bustling streets, the quiet villages and coastal areas, watching the sea stretching to the horizon. Each land brings a vibrant breath of life. With each step, I experience many new things to ponder. After going through the first half of the journey, I am still continuing.” Petr shared that every day, he set a goal of walking 32 - 40 km. To be able to start his journey, he prepared himself physically and mentally, and all expenses were from his savings.Russian man walked 16 provinces from North to South (Photo: NVCC)

Looking across the beautiful lands on the map of Vietnam, Petr received more than just the warmth and enthusiasm of the people here. On his journey across Vietnam, Petr had the opportunity to meet and accompany local people who were interested in and passionate about environmental issues. They immediately connected through the common values they shared. “These moments (and others) reminded me that the heart of Vietnam is the Vietnamese people,” Petr confided. Footsteps with a “green” mission Petr has always cherished a plan for a trip across Vietnam, but due to unscheduled work, he has not been able to start. However, after witnessing the terrible devastation of Typhoon Yagi when it made landfall in Vietnam last September, along with the heavy damage to people, property and the environment, Petr decided to take action. He wishes he could do something, contribute a little of his effort and mind to help the Vietnamese people overcome difficulties.Unforgettable moments with Petr's new friends in Nha Trang - Lam Dong - Da Lat
He took practical action by widely sharing the QR code of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people after Typhoon Yagi on his social media platforms. Or when asked about his previous experiences and future plans, Petr shared that he had never done this or anything else before in another country. He has care and love for Vietnam and his journey across Vietnam will continue and spread more humane values.Plastic waste is thrown into rivers, seas, and lakes along Petr's journey (Photo: NVCC)
Throughout the journey, Petr was truly happy with his own thoughts. He believes that each of us needs to act immediately to protect the environment, and it starts with individual actions. “Through my journey, I am trying to show that living a minimalist and mindful life will reduce our impact on the planet. The journey itself is a statement - walking long distances instead of using more resource-intensive means of transport. Along the way, I talked to local people about waste reduction, sustainable living, and how small changes can lead to a bigger impact on the environment.” Petr’s journey is spread throughout the community, through meetings and stories shared on social networks. These actions contribute to bringing the image of Vietnam to friends around the world, building a community that inspires green living, is friendly to nature, and protects the living environment of mankind. Petr's steps leave a "green" mark on the S-shaped strip of land, like a message to everyone: "The environment is not something far away. It is a part of our daily lives and we all have a role in preserving it for future generations."Xuan Hung - Phuong Anh
