These are 3 of many cases of students with especially difficult circumstances in the coastal border area of the province who have been supported and sponsored by officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Station under the program "Helping children go to school" and the model "Adopted children of the Border Guard Station".
The program "Helping children go to school", the model "Adopted children of Border Guard Stations" was deployed by the Border Guard Command to promptly support orphans with no place to rely on, children of policy families, families with especially difficult circumstances in the coastal border areas of the province; help them reduce difficulties, strive to excel in studying and training. Through these activities, it has contributed to beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people, further strengthening the solidarity and attachment between Border Guard officers and soldiers with the people, encouraging the people to actively participate in building a strong national border defense. At the Provincial Border Guard Command, immediately after the program was launched, the Provincial Border Guard developed a plan and assigned specific tasks to each Border Guard Station unit in the province to implement. Accordingly, collectives, individuals, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard, with affection and responsibility, have voluntarily accepted, regularly taught and sponsored students in difficult circumstances. At the same time, they have supported at least 500 thousand VND/month/child and other material things such as clothes, shoes, books, bicycles, desks, etc.
In particular, the border guard force also launched a campaign within the entire force and outside the force to help feed and educate children in especially difficult circumstances until they finish grade 12. Up to now, the provincial Border Guard has received regular support and assistance for 35 students in the program "Helping children go to school" and the model "Border Guard Station's adopted children". In addition, on the occasion of the new school year opening, International Children's Day (June 1), and Lunar New Year every year, agencies and units have coordinated with departments, branches, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to visit and give gifts, bicycles, school supplies, and clothes worth hundreds of millions of VND. The program "Helping children go to school" and the model "Adopted children of Border Guard Station" are humane programs, demonstrating the close military-civilian relationship of the Border Guard towards the people in the coastal border areas of the province, contributing to building a solid all-people border defense posture on the border line.
