There are so many beautiful stories about teachers and the relationship between teachers and students told in this book, whose authors are two journalists who have spent many years pursuing education, listening to it, and witnessing it.

Authors Chu Hong Van and Hoang Huong have spent more than two decades observing and admiring the beauty of the teaching profession.

According to them, the journey of a teacher's career is "like small, silent streams, flowing through rough rocks, but cool and sweet. Countless small streams flow together into the great ocean of one profession: the teaching profession".

It is the story of students who are now grown up, but never forget the memories of the teachers who changed their lives.

The book also records the stories that teachers tell about special situations they encounter in their teaching profession, in which their conscience, compassion and tact have helped them behave appropriately and meaningfully towards their students.

A teacher came to teach at a new school, only seeing it as a transit point to continue on, but her engaging lectures made her students love and look forward to her, making her decide not to leave.

Or the story of Mr. Chinh discovering that every fifth period a student would become irritable, lose control, throw books at his friends and swear.

The teacher could not ignore it and tried to find out, only to discover that because his parents divorced and he lived with his father, but his father forbade the mother and son from seeing each other, so his mother often came to school after school to see him, and he could not calm down during the last classes... At that time, the teacher tried many ways to help the boy overcome this difficult period.

In this book, readers will also encounter many portraits of special teachers, such as the teacher who creates lessons despite being known as "showing off", the teacher who opens a school for special students who "have nowhere else to go", or the teachers who "carry baskets to beg for food" for students in a remote mountain school...

The book affirms: “Education is a difficult path. Really difficult. But also happy. Somewhere, people talk a lot about the negative things in the teaching profession, the ugly things in school to be pessimistic, to criticize. But we still have strong faith in the good things in education."
