Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security send a letter of commendation to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police.

On May 25th, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police to praise their achievements in successfully combating and dismantling a criminal ring involved in the illegal manufacture, sale, and storage of large quantities of military weapons.

The content of the Letter of Commendation clearly states:

The Ministry leadership was briefed: Recently, the Ha Tinh Provincial Police have focused on implementing decisive operational measures to combat and successfully dismantle a criminal ring involved in the illegal manufacture, sale, and storage of large quantities of military weapons. Nine individuals were arrested and prosecuted, and 73 guns, 18 kg of lead bullets, and other evidence were seized. Investigations revealed that the suspects used machinery to process and manufacture gun and ammunition components and exploited cyberspace for the illegal trade of military weapons.

The police in Ha Tinh province successfully investigated and dismantled an inter-provincial network involved in the illegal manufacture, storage, and sale of military weapons, employing particularly sophisticated methods and tactics.

This is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, and courage of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police in general, and the Security forces under the Ha Tinh Provincial Police in particular, in implementing the directives of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating crimes of illegal production and trading of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools, and in carrying out the "80 Days of Meritorious Deeds for a Peaceful Fatherland and the Happiness of the People" campaign. The results of the investigation and discovery of the case have practically contributed to limiting the consequences of crimes committed using firearms, deterring and preventing crime, and strengthening the people's trust and affection for the People's Police force.

On behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung acknowledged and commended the achievements of the units in solving the case. He also requested the Ha Tinh Provincial Police to urgently expand the investigation, consolidate documents and evidence to strictly prosecute the suspects according to the law; and to organize propaganda, mobilization, and recovery of as many weapons as possible that the suspects had manufactured or traded.
