Leaders of countries send congratulatory messages and letters to President To Lam

On the occasion of Comrade To Lam being elected by the 15th National Assembly to hold the position of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the leaders of Laos, China and Cambodia sent congratulatory messages and letters.

General Secretary and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his excitement and warmly congratulated Comrade To Lam on being elected President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, saying that this demonstrated the trust and appreciation of the Party, State and People of Vietnam for Comrade To Lam .

Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that he was very pleased to work with President To Lam to contribute to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam to become increasingly better and bear fruit; at the same time, he firmly believed that with his qualifications, capacity and rich experience accumulated over many years in many different important positions, Comrade To Lam, together with the Vietnamese leaders, will lead the country and the Vietnamese people to continue to gain new and greater achievements in the cause of protecting and building the Vietnamese Fatherland, aiming to achieve the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping expressed his delight at the news. Comrade To Lam was elected President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; emphasized that China and Vietnam are two friendly socialist neighbors, connected by mountains and rivers. President Xi Jinping recalled his State visit to Vietnam, together with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, declaring the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future to be of strategic significance, opening a new chapter for the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries, and was pleased to see that the ministries, branches and localities of the two countries are accelerating the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future, achieving positive progress.

President Xi Jinping affirmed that he attaches great importance to the China-Vietnam relationship and is willing to maintain strategic exchanges with President To Lam, lead the building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future in depth and practically, bringing more benefits to the people of the two countries; wish Vietnam prosperity and happiness to its people; and wish Comrade To Lam even greater achievements in his new position.

The King expressed his hope that the relationship between the two peoples will become increasingly close, continue to maintain peace, stability, cooperation and develop even better.
