Front leaders wish Chol Chnam Thmay and Bunpimay 2024

Vice Chairman of the City Front Ngo Thanh Son congratulates Chol Chnam Thmay at the Cambodian Consulate General.

At the above agencies, Mr. Ngo Thanh Son sent best wishes on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the two countries. At the same time, he affirmed that the City Front and its member organizations always respect and do their best to preserve, consolidate and promote the good relationship with Cambodia and Laos. In particular, the program "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City" stands out; the City Front and socio-political organizations organized a pilot program in 2019, officially in 2022 and 2023; mobilized 67 families to adopt 105 students studying in the City.

The City Front delegation celebrated the traditional Bunpimay New Year at the Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

“The program has created a good environment for students to experience the daily life of Vietnamese families, thereby connecting and nurturing their emotions and spirit when they have to study far from home…”, Mr. Ngo Thanh Son emphasized.

Consul General of the Kingdom of Cambodia Chan Sorykan and Consul General of Laos Phonesy Bounmixay thanked the City Front for its support, assistance and close cooperation with the two Consulates General in the past time and affirmed that they will do their best to further promote the relationship between the localities of Cambodia, Laos and Ho Chi Minh City.
