Lam Dong Provincial leaders visit and work with Military Industry and Telecommunications Group - Viettel

On July 17, 2025, in Hanoi, the Lam Dong Provincial Delegation led by Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and worked with the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group - Viettel on digital transformation. Attending the Delegation were Comrade Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; along with Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches of the province.

At the meeting, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi gave an introductory speech: Lam Dong Province has been implementing digital transformation, but after the merger, there are still many items that need to be continued or further promoted, in order to synchronize data or platforms from the merged provinces.

Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group Tao Duc Thang discussed cooperation contents on digital transformation.

Specifically, Lam Dong aims to promote comprehensive digital transformation in the fields of digital government, digital economy and digital society. The province wishes to build a synchronous digital infrastructure, shared database and integrated platform; improve governance efficiency, serve people and businesses through technology application; at the same time, establish a strategic partnership, long-term companionship between Lam Dong province and Viettel Group.

Comrade Cao Anh Son - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, presented the specific work groups and roadmap of digital action programs with Lam Dong province.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi emphasized: We focus on supporting the province, in the spirit of speed, without waiting, with the goal of best implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo. The provincial chairman proposed to strongly develop digital infrastructure and 4G/5G connection throughout the province; deploy the Electronic One-Stop System; apply digital signatures; connect, clean and synchronize data from old provinces; deploy a data analysis and early warning reporting system to serve the management work of the Provincial People's Committee; organize training and coaching on digital skills for officials at all levels. In addition, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also hopes that Viettel will choose the province as the location to deploy high-tech factory projects such as semiconductor factories, data centers, etc.

Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, Tao Duc Thang, said: Based on Viettel's experience in implementing digital transformation, there are 6 key goals that need to be coordinated and implemented soon, including: perfecting institutions at departments, branches and sectors to switch to a digital environment; collecting, connecting and digitizing data; building and upgrading connection infrastructure, adding hardware and software; building application problems on digital platforms; ensuring information security and safety; and finally ensuring resources for the entire implementation process.

Leaders of Lam Dong province and Viettel Group both wish to establish a strategic partnership.

Regarding the proposal to locate the data center and semiconductor factory project in the province, the Chairman of Viettel Group affirmed: With a cool climate all year round, Lam Dong is a more suitable location to develop a data center, thanks to its ability to optimize operating costs. Mr. Tao Duc Thang also assigned the specialized agencies of Viettel Group to study the conditions for implementing specific contents in Lam Dong...
