Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and delegates offered incense to express their deep gratitude for the contributions of comrade Truong Quang Giao to his homeland and country.
On behalf of the leaders of Quang Nam province, comrade Tran Anh Tuan kindly visited and encouraged comrade Truong Quang Giao's relatives, and expressed deep gratitude for comrade Truong Quang Giao's great contributions to the cause of fighting and liberating the homeland in general and Quang Nam - Da Nang province in particular.
Comrade Truong Quang Giao (Truong Quang Vien), born on March 20, 1910, in a poor farming family in My Khe village, Son Tinh district (now Tinh Khe commune, Quang Ngai city), Quang Ngai province.
He is an exemplary communist, a talented leader, with many great contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
In 1946, comrade Truong Quang Giao was a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Region Party Committee, then a member of the Regional Party Committee of Zone 5 and Secretary of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee.
As Secretary, he led the Party Committee, army and people of Quang Nam - Da Nang to overcome difficulties, build the free zone and revolutionary base area to become a solid rear for the major frontlines of the provinces of Inter-Zone 5 and the Central Highlands.
In 1950 - 1951, he was Secretary of the Central Highlands Executive Committee and Political Commissar of the Southern Central Highlands Front Command. From 1952 to 1954, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Zone 5 Party Committee and then Secretary of the Inter-zone Zone 5 Party Committee.
After that, he successively held the positions of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Unification Committee, Member of the Central Inspection Committee, and Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
In 1977, he retired and lived in Da Nang City. He passed away on July 3, 1983.
Comrade Truong Quang Giao was awarded many noble titles by the Party and State: Gold Star Order, Ho Chi Minh Order, Third Class Independence Order, First Class Resistance Order, 50-year Party membership badge and many other orders and medals.
After the incense offering ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and delegates visited documents and artifacts about the life and revolutionary career of comrade Truong Quang Giao at the Memorial House.
