Lao Cai: Ensuring safe and continuous electricity for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

To ensure safe and continuous electricity for nearly 9,300 candidates taking the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the Lao Cai province electricity sector has deployed many solutions, ready for the exam to take place as planned.

Ensuring continuous power supply for the points is given special priority by Lao Cai Electricity Company.

For the 2025 high school graduation exam, Lao Cai province will organize 27 testing locations with 399 official testing rooms and 14 waiting rooms, serving 9,271 candidates.

At exam locations such as Lao Cai city, Sa Pa, and Bao Thang, which are assessed to have a high risk of overload due to the large concentration of candidates, backup power sources need to be added and switching equipment carefully checked.

And in mountainous areas with complex terrain such as Muong Khuong, Simacai, Bac Ha... the local electricity sector has proactively coordinated with the Exam Steering Committee and schools to carefully check the electrical system and arrange backup generators.

Along with technical measures, propaganda on saving electricity and using electricity properly has also been promoted. Lao Cai Electricity Company has coordinated with relevant units to carry out propaganda to schools and residential areas, recommending to reduce unnecessary equipment during peak hours.

At the same time, coordinate with large customers to adjust the load, recommend businesses to flexibly arrange production to avoid overloading the power system.

Mr. Tran Thanh Duyet, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Electricity Company said: “Since the fourth quarter of 2024, the company has developed an investment, repair, and backup plan to ensure a stable power source for the entire year of 2025. In particular, for important events such as the High School Graduation Exam, the unit has developed a detailed plan, clearly assigned tasks to each exam site, ensuring a continuous 24/7 power source during the entire exam period.”

Lao Cai Electricity Company also established a Steering Committee for power supply for the exam, set up a standby team to handle incidents from the company level to the district electricity unit, ensuring timely handling when there are unusual situations.

At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of the districts to re-monitor the power supply system at the test printing and grading points. At this time, the entire plan has been completed, with adequate supplies and equipment; the Lao Cai electricity sector is ready for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam to take place safely and on schedule.
