Recently, the electrical system of the technical infrastructure project of routes DH 13, DH14, DH15, DH16, DH16A in Cam Duong ward (Lao Cai) was dug up and had its main line cables cut by thieves.

The incident not only damaged property and materials of the electricity industry, disrupted system operations, but also caused disorder and insecurity in the locality. Through professional measures, Cam Duong Ward Police arrested the subject who committed the above acts. The case is currently being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been a number of power grid theft cases in the province, not only affecting the economy but also seriously affecting the safety of the power grid, potentially damaging electrical equipment and electrical equipment of the people, and possibly causing loss of human life.

This is not only a common theft but also an act of vandalism of state property, affecting national energy security. However, the current penalty for this violation is not enough of a deterrent.

Thefts mainly occur in deserted areas, far from residential areas, causing difficulties for the Company and authorities in managing and protecting the safety of the power grid and equipment on the line.
