On the morning of June 30th, ceremonies were held in various localities throughout Lao Cai province to announce resolutions and decisions from the Central Government and the province regarding the merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units. Officials and people of Yen Binh commune are excited and proud.

At exactly 8:00 AM on June 30th, in harmony with the atmosphere of the entire province, at the online meeting point in Yen Binh commune, officials and people solemnly attended the ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central Government and the province on the merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units.

The ceremony at the Yen Binh location took place in a solemn and joyful atmosphere, reflecting the pride and great expectations of officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life in the area.

Yen Binh commune was established by merging the communes of Tan Huong, Dai Dong, Thinh Hung, and Yen Binh town (belonging to Yen Binh district), becoming a commune with a large natural area of ​​150.83 km². Currently, the commune has 35 villages with 7,584 households.

From early morning, the meeting hall of the Yen Binh Commune People's Committee was meticulously prepared with flags, flowers, and banners welcoming the event. The large screen, sound system, and internet connection to the provincial central hub were ensured to be functioning smoothly, ready for this historic event.

Following this, the speeches by central and provincial leaders, along with the announcements of the decisions, were listened to attentively by the people. When the historic decision to establish the province was announced, the entire hall erupted in enthusiastic and prolonged applause. It was applause of pride, faith, and hope for a new path of development.

In brief conversations with us, delegates and residents alike expressed deep confidence in the new phase of local development.

As a citizen of the commune, Mr. Hoang Quang Hoi from Hamlet 5 expressed his excitement and joy at the changes taking place in the country and his hometown. He hopes that, after today's decision, the leadership of the government at all levels will be better and people will have more convenience in many areas, especially administrative procedures. Referring to the merger of administrative units to establish the new Yen Binh commune, Mr. Hoi believes that this will help to promote the advantages of the locality, especially in tourism and exploiting available resources such as forests and water bodies...

Representing the younger generation, Mr. Trinh Dinh Phong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Yen Binh commune, also affirmed that, with an open spirit and enthusiasm, the youth of Yen Binh commune are ready to welcome and participate in the local government merger process. Young members wish to promote their roles and voices. The younger generation expects the local government, especially at the commune level, to pay more attention to and provide more guidance in digital transformation, as well as developing new fields that suit the needs of young people.

"We hope that the local government will have specific projects and plans to support young people in developing their economy and implementing digital transformation," Phong expressed. Regarding the Youth Union of the commune, he said that the immediate plan is to restructure and stabilize the organization to better lead its members.

Speaking about the local development direction, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khiem, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Binh commune, emphasized: "The provincial merger is a historical milestone, creating new momentum for Yen Binh. This is an important basis for the commune to reorient its development goals to align with the province's overall strategy, opening up great opportunities in attracting investment, developing infrastructure, and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people."

Mr. Khiem stated that immediately after the ceremony, the Party Committee and the commune government would quickly stabilize the organization and begin developing a specific action plan. This plan would focus on exploiting existing potential and advantages in tourism and forestry; promoting digital transformation; and strongly reforming administrative procedures to create the most favorable environment for people and businesses. The ultimate goal is to build Yen Binh into a comprehensively developed and strong commune, contributing to the overall prosperity of the province."

The ceremony at the Yen Binh commune's remote location concluded successfully, leaving many profound emotions in the hearts of each citizen. Live broadcasting down to the commune level is not only a technological solution but also demonstrates the spirit of "unity from top to bottom," connecting the Party's will with the people's aspirations.

Faith in the new village of Tang Loong

On the morning of June 30th, the Tang Loong commune hall was packed with officials, Party members, and a large number of local people attending the ceremony to announce the decision to establish the new commune. Colorful flags and flowers, lively laughter, handshakes, and friendly smiles between people from the two former administrative units (Phu Nhuan commune and Tang Loong town) created an atmosphere of excitement, unity, and high expectations.

With an area of ​​over 125 km² and a population of nearly 20,000 people, Tang Loong commune has been identified as the central area for the development of industry, agriculture, trade, and services in the province. In the joy of receiving the decision to establish the commune, many residents expressed their greatest hope: faster and more convenient access to public services and administrative procedures right in their locality.

Ms. Dang Thi Luu from Khe Ba village, Tang Loong commune, shared: "I hope that the newly merged commune will create favorable conditions for people to access and complete administrative procedures more quickly."

Ms. Vu Thi Hanh, Secretary of the Party Branch of residential group 5, Tang Loong commune, emotionally said: "We are very happy and confident. The government is increasingly paying attention to the people, from roads, healthcare, schools to the living environment. The people will be more united to build a new homeland."

Mr. Le Trung Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tang Loong commune, said: "We have identified administrative reform and serving the people as our top priority. Immediately after the announcement ceremony, the government apparatus went into full operation, especially the one-stop service center which was set up in the most convenient location, with dedicated staff on duty daily to receive and process people's applications."

On the first day, confidence and excitement were evident on the faces of the officials and people of Tang Loong commune, marking a hopeful beginning for a new, more convenient, civilized, and modern journey.

The people of the border region will write a new chapter in history.

On the morning of June 30th, the four communes of Ban Lau, Muong Khuong, Cao Son, and Pha Long were filled with excitement as they witnessed the announcement of the decisions to establish new provincial and commune-level administrative units via television broadcast.

According to the plan, 16 commune-level administrative units of Muong Khuong district (including 15 communes and 1 town) will be reorganized into 4 new commune-level administrative units, namely: Muong Khuong, Pha Long, Ban Lau, and Cao Son.

Previously, Muong Khuong district also proposed a plan for arranging and allocating office premises, and simultaneously implemented solutions for managing and utilizing office buildings, equipment, assets, and related finances after the establishment of new communes and the termination of the district-level administrative unit's operations.

The merger of communes has been implemented synchronously and effectively, receiving widespread support from officials, Party members, and the people. This is an important step to meet the needs of population management and is consistent with long-term development orientations. The newly established communes, based on the adjustment of administrative boundaries, ensure convenience in state management, infrastructure development, and people's lives.

Following the merger, the local authorities quickly stabilized their organization and rationally assigned personnel. Public service and administrative activities continued smoothly, serving the people continuously without interruption.

Mr. To Viet Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ban Lau commune, shared: "With the highest political determination, we will soon stabilize and reorganize the administrative apparatus, assign specific tasks to departments and units, and at the same time encourage cadres, civil servants, employees, and the people of Ban Lau commune to work together in unity to successfully carry out the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State."

Local residents also expect a streamlined and efficient government apparatus that better serves the people. Ms. Sung Seng from Ma Cai Thang village, La Pan Tan commune (formerly), attending the announcement ceremony at the Cao Son Commune People's Committee, smiled happily: "Now I am a resident of Cao Son commune. A new commune, a new name, but it's still my homeland in the highlands. I hope the commune will develop further so that the lives of the people will become more prosperous."

On this new journey, with the consensus between the government and the people, officials and people of the highland and border communes of Muong Khuong, Pha Long, Ban Lau, and Cao Son will together write new chapters of history - steadfast, confident, and full of aspirations.
