Lao Cai focuses on arranging and moving 613 households out of disaster areas according to plan.

Lao Cai province is focusing on arranging and relocating more than 600 households out of disaster areas in 2024.

Specifically, in 2024, Lao Cai province will relocate 520 households in disaster and disaster-prone areas and 93 households in border areas. Of these, 341 households will be relocated in a centralized manner; 138 households will be relocated in a mixed manner; and 134 households will be stabilized in place.

The direct support level for households according to Resolution No. 05/2021/NQ-HDND, dated April 9, 2021 and Resolution No. 22/2023/NQ-HDND, dated December 8, 2023 of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council is: support for arranging inter-household relocation of 80 million VND/household for Group I and 60 million VND/household for Group II; support for arranging centralized relocation of 15 million VND/household; support for on-site stabilization of 30 million VND/household; support for management and direction costs of 500,000 VND/household from the district-level budget.

To achieve the planned goals, the Party Committee and authorities in the communes with households included in the relocation plan are responsible for propagating, mobilizing, and providing assistance with labor and other conditions to move households to new, safe, stable and secure places to develop production. Households receiving relocation support will coordinate closely with local authorities to prepare the site for relocation, additional materials to replace damaged materials, etc. to move to the new place to ensure the schedule of the plan.

For households in particularly difficult circumstances such as poor households, single households, policy households, etc., local Party committees and authorities directly assign departments, branches, and organizations in the commune to concentrate forces and support working days to help these households move on schedule, so that people can soon stabilize their lives.
