
According to a report from the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province, the high school graduation rate of the whole province reached 99.1%. Of which: The old Yen Bai province reached 98.94% (high school reached 99.79%, continuing education reached 94.43%, independent candidates reached 57.14%). The old Lao Cai province: 99.27% (high school reached 99.59%, continuing education reached 97.35%, independent candidates reached 50%).
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Lao Cai province has 2 examination councils, 55 examination sites with more than 18,300 candidates taking the exam.
As a result, Lao Cai province had 261 candidates scoring 10 points in the following subjects: Chinese, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics and Law, and Agricultural Technology. There were 12 candidates scoring 10 points in History and Geography.
The average score of candidates in Lao Cai is 5.92 points, ranking 26th out of 34 provinces and cities. There is one subject with an average score higher than the national average, which is Agricultural Technology, 7.73 points compared to the national average of 7.72 points.

Group A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry): 1 student from Lao Cai High School for the Gifted scored 28.75 points; 2 students from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted scored 28.5 points.
Group B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology): 1 student from Lao Cai High School for the Gifted scored 28.75 points; 1 student from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted scored 27.75 points.
Group C00 (Literature, History, Geography): 1 student from Chu Van An High School scored 29.25 points; 1 student from Si Ma Cai Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities scored 29 points.
Group D01 (Math, Literature, Chinese): 1 student from Lao Cai High School for the Gifted scored 28.25 points; 2 students from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted scored 27.25 points.
Group A01 (Math, Physics, English): 1 student from Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted scored 28.25 points; 1 student from Lao Cai High School for the Gifted scored 27.25 points.
Group DO4 (Literature, Math, Chinese): 1 12th grade student majoring in Chinese, Lao Cai Specialized High School, scored 28.25 points.
In particular, group D04 (Literature, Math, Chinese), student Ly Hoang Ngan, grade 12 specializing in Chinese, Lao Cai High School for the Gifted with 28.25 excellently won the co-valedictorian award with the candidate from Phu Tho province - Nguyen Van Khanh.
The above results show that although this year is the first year the exam is organized according to the 2018 general education program with many new points in terms of testing methods and subject combinations. However, with the proactive preparation from the beginning of the school year by the school and family, most students have adapted well and demonstrated their abilities in the exam.
Anxiously waiting for the exam results to be announced, Le Ha Phuong, a 12th grade student at Lao Cai - Cam Duong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, received a total score of 27.75 for block C00. Notably, Ha Phuong scored 10 in History. With this result, Ha Phuong is the candidate with the highest score at the Center.

Le Ha Phuong happily said: This year's exam has many innovations, so from the beginning of the school year, we have tried very hard. This result is not only mine but also the companionship and care of teachers and family. I always thank everyone for giving me the best things.
Currently, schools are proactively developing plans to support and advise students on the next steps for admission.

After knowing the scores, candidates have 10 days to submit a request for review, the deadline is July 25. Candidates will receive the exam result certificate, temporary graduation certificate, high school transcript, no later than July 22.
