On July 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Transport Infrastructure Management Center deployed a pilot installation of lighting poles at Ba Son station of metro line 1, Nguyen Huu Canh - Ton Duc Thang street area, District 1.
According to the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center, this is a solar-powered lighting pole that lights up at night. The surface of the pole is a direction chart of metro line 1 for passengers to look up at the train waiting area.

Currently, the center is piloting installation in District 1 and Binh Thanh District, and will next be installed in Thu Duc City along Metro Line 1 station.
In addition, the City Department of Transport is also developing a plan to connect 34 bus routes with metro line 1. Connecting the stations of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien railway line with the main bus route, branch bus routes and feeder bus routes creates a unified multi-modal public transport system.

Metro Line 1 project is 19.7km long, including 2.6km underground and 17.1km elevated. The total investment after adjustment is 43,700 billion VND. The project has a route going through District 1, Binh Thanh District, Thu Duc City and Di An ( Binh Duong ).
The entire metro line No. 1 has 3 underground stations: Ben Thanh, Ba Son, Ho Chi Minh City Theater and 11 elevated stations: Van Thanh, Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, High-Tech Park, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Suoi Tien Bus Station.
Currently, the metro line has reached 98% of the workload, the train is currently undergoing technical testing, expected to be commercially exploited in the fourth quarter of 2024.
